Using the Activities Timeline
Timeline Bars
Each row represents an activity type (surveillance, shadowing, interviews, etc.). The bars show the specific days when that activity was recorded during the investigation. Click any bar to filter the map to only that activity type.
Animation Controls
- Play / Pause — Animate through the investigation day by day. Markers appear on the map as activities are recorded, growing in size with each new visit.
- Reset — Return the map to its original state showing all activities at once.
- Daily — Toggle between cumulative and daily-only view. In cumulative mode (default), markers build up over time. In daily mode, only the current day's activities are shown, making it easier to see each day's work individually.
Tips
- Combine the activity filter with animation to watch how a single activity type unfolds over time.
- Switch between view modes (All, Location Types, Activity Types) in the toolbar above for different perspectives on the same data.
